It was easy to root for him and Charisma, especially since the book is told from. He sometimes had controlling tendencies (like always saying “you’re mine” - I know those words in and of themselves don’t seem controlling, but context is important! Even though she got her confidence rocked by Blaze’s rejection prior to the start of the book, she was still super sassy, smart, and witty - I loved reading the book from her perspective. She’d be crazy to let this cocky player affect her again. He thinks all he has to do is turn on those baby blues, and she’ll melt right back into his arms. So no, she’s not about to forgive and forget just because he sits next to her in class.

She’s been expecting this ever since their latest showdown.
